My The Area71 Slotcars Koenigsegg CCX build has been going slowly but surely – hampered mainly by the fact that, whenever I did have time to do any spraying, bad weather made sure I couldn’t! Thankfully, I got a lucky break this weekend and managed not only to add colour coats and detail paint, but also some of the more fiddly finishing touches. Thought I’d share the photos taken at various stages during the process – apologies for the poor quality of some of them, but they were all taken with a smartphone – inside, outside and at various different times of the day.
So, that’s the result so far… my Slot.it-ready version of The Area71’s Koenigsegg CCX is nearing completion – just the tricky window fitting to go! The NSR-ready version, still in battle-scarred battleship-grey, has proved itself to be an invaluable development tool – improvements being made to future releases are all based on the tests done with this very car, so there will be a few nice surprises in store for future owners of the forthcoming AMG Vision, Porsche 901 and Koenigsegg CCGT.
